Buffet Evette & Schaeffer K Series Bb Clarinet

This beautiful French-made Buffet Evette & Schaeffer K Series clarinet is an excellent example of the craftsmanship and quality that made vintage Buffet instruments so highly regarded. Featuring traditional grenadilla wood construction and precision keywork, the K Series offers an outstanding combination of tonal quality, reliable performance, and affordability.

The Evette & Schaeffer name has a rich history dating back to 1885, when Paul Evette and Ernest Schaeffer acquired Buffet Crampon. The name continued to be associated with the company's instruments for generations, with the K Series becoming one of its particularly well-regarded lines of French-made clarinets.

Unlike some other Evette instruments produced through outside manufacturers, the K Series Evette & Schaeffer clarinets were manufactured by Buffet in France using the company's own tooling and manufacturing expertise. These instruments shared many construction characteristics with Buffet's professional clarinets of the period and are often considered predecessors to the modern Buffet E13. Their quality grenadilla wood construction, traditional French keywork, and rich tonal characteristics have earned them an enduring reputation among musicians who appreciate well-built vintage instruments.

This particular example has recently received a complete overhaul featuring traditional bladder pads performed by another repair shop.
